Micro-Hydroelectric Power System - An example of a micro-hydro system for sites with head's from 20' to 600' and with modest water flow. In this example the micro-hydro system will produce up to 1,500 watts of low voltage DC power (12, 24, and 48 volt models available). Each turbine should be customized to site specific characteristics. You have to determine what those site specifics are and then a system can be designed. Read more>>

The State of Maine now offers up to $6,000 in rebates for wind systems installed in 2009.

The Green Energy Environmental Institute can assist you in filling out your Wind Energy Rebate Application by giving you the wind class data needed to qualify.

It’s easy to find out if you have a Class ll or Class lll wind site just email or call us with your address and for a donation to the Institute we will send you a wind map and topographical map certifying that your wind site is either a Class ll or Class lll wind site.
We also offer evaluations at your site for an additional donation.
